Mophie Juice Pack Helium [My Review]
The iPhone 5 offers decent to good battery life by today’s smartphone standards, but what about those days when you need to use your phone a lot and you’re not near a powered USB port?
Mophie has been making power packs for Apple products for many years and arguably, they make quality products (Apple sells Mophie products in their stores). For the iPhone 5, Mophie has released two...

The Retina MacBook Pro 15" [My Review]
I have spent a week with the 15” base model Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display, and I have to say I am impressed. Two things users will notice immediately upon using this laptop are how crisp and clear text and images appear on the display and how good the speakers sound on such a thin laptop.
As an owner of an iPad and iPhone with Retina displays, I always found myself upset when I...

18 Point Contract for an iPhone →
A mother bought her 13 year old son an iPhone 5 for Christmas this year. But he couldn’t open it until he signed this contract:
Dear Gregory
Merry Christmas! You are now the proud owner of an iPhone. Hot Damn! You are a good & responsible 13 year old boy and you deserve this gift. But with the acceptance of this present comes rules and regulations. Please read through the...

RunKeeper 3.0 →
RunKeeper is one of my favorite apps to use on a smartphone to track my workouts. I’ve tried various other apps such as Endomondo, but always return to RunKeeper because of the overall better user experience.
Version 3.0 of RunKeeper for iOS was released today and my initial impressions are that it’s much more aesthetically pleasing. I believe the developers have changed the code...

Cisco to sell off Linksys →
Cisco is just not happy with the way things are going in the consumer router sector. Cisco has been known to buy brands and then shut them down or sell them off…I think they’re simply tired of the unpredictable consumer market and would just like to stick to business sales.

A Decline in Text Messaging →
It comes as no surprise that text message numbers have dropped recently. iMessage, BBM, WhatsApp, Viber, Line, Skype, and countless other messaging apps have become increasingly popular in the recent months and years. With everyone paying a premium for data, users are likely to cut back on text messaging plans (which carriers profit nearly 100% from) by using data based services.

iPad Mini Review →
When it comes down to it, do you want an iPad or an iPad Mini? It’s not priced to compete directly with the likes of other 7” tablets on the market (e.g. Nexus 7).

iPad 4th Generation Review →
It’s been about 7 month’s since the “new iPad” was released and now we have a new “new iPad” (4th generation). It’s actually much improved over the previous generation iPad and for owners of the original and iPad 2, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. Just know that it comes with the lightning connector so if you have invested a lot of...

Windows Phone 7 Turns 2 Today →
Two years ago, Microsoft and their OEM partners began to sell phones loaded with the Windows Phone 7 OS. Later this month, Microsoft will essentially be retiring that version of their smartphone OS and launch Windows Phone 8 - what they hope will finally unify desktops, tablets, and smartphones to drive adoption rates.
By the end of the year, we’ll all see if Microsofts’ efforts...

FreedomPop Beta - Freedom Spot Photon [My Review]
I signed up for the Freedompop beta about a week ago and I received my mobile Wi-Fi hotspot today. I was surprised at the quality of the packaging materials as well as the feel of the device as well. It turned on without a problem and came with very easy set-up instructions.
If you haven’t checked out Freedompop yet, go to their website at http://www.freedompop.com/
Essentially you...

Eliminating Carrier Usage on iPhone While on WiFi... →
In the beta versions of iOS 6, users were allowed to switch on an option that would enable the phone to automatically use your carrier’s data network if you WiFi network had no actual connectivity to the internet. But in the final version of iOS 6, Apple decided to get rid of that option. It seems that users on the Verizon network have that feature enabled by default, with no way of...

The iPhone 5 [My Review]
The iPhone 5 is out and over 5 million units were sold in just a few days. My unit arrived 1 day late and damaged. To be more specific, the box was dented, the phone’s bezel was chipped, and there was dust and debris under the camera lens which affected the photos I took. After a long complicated process that I won’t dive into, I exchanged my device, and I decided to go with the...

Meg Says HP Hasn't Kept Up With Innovation →
HP’s CEO realizes that Apple has impacted the way computers are designed/manufactured, and believes HP has really missed the mark with previous products. Moving forward she wants their line of computers to be more unified in design and to be more innovative. Hopefully their idea of true innovation doesn’t involve shameless copying of Apple products, such as their latest Spectre One...

Apple 'Blown Away' by iPhone 5 Pre-Orders →
Despite the complaints about a changed dock connector and a ‘boring’ keynote, it seems like a ton of people want this device. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and shipments of the iPhone 5 may take 3 weeks to arrive if you place your order right now.
On Apple’s own online store, the phones sold out in about 1 hour. Sprint is the last carrier that might have the 64GB model...

The New iPhone 2012 KIRF →
This device does not seem to be on sale yet, but this prototype model has the looks of the new iPhone but it utilizes the iPhone 4 and 4s screen (keeping it small), a 1ghz processor, 512mb ram, and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Might be fun just to have one.

Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8 →
Samsung’s Galaxy Player line comes in all different screen sizes and the biggest one just got announced. The specs aren’t impressive - just like previous models - but it does feature dual front facing speakers like the new Galaxy Note 10.1.
What maybe more important about this announcement is that this could potentially be a similar chasis used for the Galaxy Note II.

Samsung SSD 830 Series [My Review]
The Samsung SSD 830 Series has been reviewed by countless companies and bloggers so I won’t spend the time going over the specifics of the drive. In the real world, this drive was amazingly easy to set up and has been a pleasure to use.
The system I installed it in is an early 2011 13” Macbook Pro.
When I received the 256GB drive I placed it in a USB 2.0 external...
